How to make a claim on your health plan

Making a claim

Claim for treatment within the network

  1. Contact Nextcare
    We strongly recommend that you call Nextcare prior to receiving medical treatment. We can advise you whether the proposed treatment will be covered by your plan.
  2. Check the network you’re entitled to use
    Make sure that the hospital, clinic or pharmacy you want to use is part of the Nextcare network stated on your card.
  3. We’ll arrange your admission
    Certain procedures and test require authorisation by Nextcare before the clinic or hospital can proceed with them. All medical service providers within the Nextcare network are aware of these requirements and will contact Nextcare directly. If your plan has a deductible and/or co-insurance, you must pay the deductible and/or co-insurance amount direct to the medical services provider. The medical services provider will claim the balance of your treatment cost from Nextcare.

Claim for treatment outside the network

  1. Inpatient or daypatient
    As soon as you know your need inpatient or daypatient treatment, please contact Nextcare. You must let them know that you need inpatient or daypatient treatment at least 48 hours in advance of your admission. This gives them sufficient time to contact the hospital to obtain the necessary medical information. You’ll be asked to complete a pre-authorisation form and a consent form that permits the hospital to release the necessary medical information to Nextcare.
  2. Outpatient treatment
    Most outpatient treatment doesn’t need pre-authorisation by Nextcare, but we recommend you contact them before receiving treatment to make sure that it’s covered by your plan.

How to claim back your eligible treatment costs

Submit your claim for eligible treatment costs through the Nextcare smartphone application or the myNextcare portal.

Alternatively, you can download a claim form from Nextcare’s website. Scan the completed claim form and the fully itemised invoices for the treatment you have received and send to claims@globalplans.ae
