About you – You are:

• Self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative and you have integrity
• Energetic and enthusiastic and have an ability to think clearly, broadly and independently
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage team and personal workloads, and leave comprehensive audit trails
• Results oriented, with the ability to apply creative, analytical and mathematical skills to problem solving

Your experience – You have:

• At least 5 years of Underwriting experience, ideally within both the protection and health space, for individuals and groups
• Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive internal underwriting guides, including rule design and configuration
• Demonstrable experience of processing and summarising complex information and communicating accurate and considered decisions to different internal and external audiences
• A high level of technical knowledge, including insurance, regulatory requirements and legal principles (would be preferable)
• Strong technical Underwriting skills and the ability to assess complex risks.
