Not all countries have public healthcare systems available to non-citizens, and private medical treatment is expensive. Health insurance can give your employees (and their families) cover for medical treatment at private hospitals and clinics.
Hospital treatment Full cover when employees are admitted to hospital for eligible treatment (including doctor fees, surgery, nursing care, theatre charges, and diagnostic tests).
Cancer care Full cover for eligible cancer treatment (including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and genome testing of cancer cells).
Emergency medical evacuations We’ll arrange a medical evacuation if an employee requires urgent hospital treatment for a life or limb-threatening condition that isn’t available locally.
Freedom to choose clinics Your employees are free to choose the the doctor, hospital, and clinic for their treatment within their coverage zone.
Life insurance gives your employees and their families financial support should anything happen to them, when living, working and travelling abroad.
Life benefit up to 10x salary We’ll pay 10x an employee’s salary (up to maximum benefit of US$2mn) in a lump sum to their beneficiaries should they die.
Early payout If an employee is diagnosed with a terminal illness with less than 12 months to live, they can receive an early life insurance payout to allocate funds as they choose.
International cover Your employees have international cover, while they’re living and working abroad, while travelling, or on trips home.
Great optional benefits Include insurance cover for adult critical illness, child critical illness, accidental death & permanent disablement, and funeral costs and repatriation.
What happens if illness or injury prevents an employee from working long-term? Social security is lacking in many parts of the world, and many employers don’t want to take on the cost of long-term sick pay.
Monthly income Your employees will receive a replacement income if they’re unable to work because of illness or injury for longer than 3 or 6 months.
Keep pace with inflation We increase replacement income payments by 2% compound year on-year, so your employees don’t lose money in real terms.
Return to work If an employee returns to work in a limited capacity, we’ll cover part of their benefit to offset their reduced salary during their recovery.

It depends on where you employ your staff. In some countries (e.g., the UAE), employers are obliged to provide private health insurance. Benefits such as life insurance and income protection are less likely to be mandatory.
You need at least 3 eligible employees to qualify for a group health insurance, life insurance, or income protection policy.
How underwriting works depends on the insurance product you select and how many employees you want to insure.
For group health insurance with 10+ employees, we can offer Medical History Disregarded. This means employees don’t need to disclose their medical history when you apply, and they’ll enjoy cover for pre-existing medical conditions.
For group health insurance with 9 employees or fewer, we offer Full Medical Underwriting or Moratorium Underwriting. These underwriting options are also available to groups with 10+ employees.
For group life insurance and group income protection, we offer free cover limits. These limits determine the amount of insurance cover to which an employee is entitled before they need some complete a questionnaire about their medical history. The free cover limit depends on the number of employees you want to insure.
The premium you pay for international employee benefits depends on the products you select, the number of employees you want to insure, whether you want to include your employees’ family members in the insurance cover, and the personal circumstances of the employees (e.g., age, location).
International group insurance with William Russell gives your employees cover while living and working abroad, while travelling, and on trips home. For group health insurance, employees have cover only within your chosen coverage zone.
If an employee leaves your company’s employment, we will cancel their insurance cover. We may be able to continue the departing employee’s insurance cover on an individual policy.
Yes, we can include family members as ‘dependants’ of your employees on your group health insurance policy.
