If you’re applying for a life insurance benefit above US$750,000, you must provide proof of your earnings.
If you’re applying for a life insurance benefit of US$750,000 or below, you do not need to provide proof of your earnings. In the event of a claim, however, we will, require proof of your earnings at the time of your application. So, it makes sense to provide us with proof of your earnings when you apply.
In the event of a claim, we will pay the lower of:
*If the claimant cannot evidence your gross annual earnings at the time you applied, we will consider an average of your gross annual earnings during the 36-month period immediately preceding your death.
If you’re applying for a life insurance benefit of US$200,000 or below, you do not have to provide proof of your earnings. In the event of a claim, we will not require proof of your earnings at the time you applied.
