Do I need to provide proof of address?

Yes. When you apply for a life insurance or protection insurance policy, you must send us a copy of an official document bearing your address.

The document must be less than four months old, and it must clearly show your name and the address of your expected residence for the duration of your policy.

We can accept a scanned copy or a clear, colour photograph taken by your phone. You do not need to certify the copy of the official document.

Here are some examples of official documents that we can accept.

  • Valid driving license
  • Recent utility bill (gas, electricity, water or landline phone)
  • Tax bill
  • Credit card statement
  • Statement from your bank, building society, or credit union
  • Tenancy contract or lease agreement
  • Government-issued documents (e.g., a statement of benefit from a government agency, national identity card)
  • Pension statement
  • Immigration status letter or residency permit
  • A letter from your employer confirming your residential address
  • A letter from your university, college or school confirming your residential address
  • A letter of registration from your doctor’s practice
  • A company payslip
  • Car registration document
  • Documentation for a digital nomad visa
  • If you’re resident in the UK, EU, or EEA, we can accept a statement from your mortgage provider dated in the last 12 months
