Life insurance policies are usually quite straightforward. In short, if you die, your policy pays. But there are some things you won’t have cover for.
There are some other exclusions that you should be aware of, so it’s important to read the terms and conditions before you purchase a life insurance policy.
Your life insurance policy gives you no cover in Iran, Libya, North Korea, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen, or any country or region where the UK FCDO has advised its citizens to leave.
Normally, we only provide insurance to expats (i.e., people living and working outside of their country of nationality). But there are a few exceptions.
You can buy our insurance policies if you’re an expat, a digital nomad or someone who spends at least 6 months of the year overseas. In certain countries, we can provide insurance to non-expats who are permanently resident in their country of nationality.
Yes, you can delay the start of your policy—but not indefinitely.
